Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, company name, job title, and any other information you provide during registration.

Integration Data

The Service connects to third-party platforms you authorize, including but not limited to email providers, calendar systems, Bloomberg Terminal, SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, Enverus, and other enterprise tools. When you grant access, we collect and process data from these integrations to deliver your briefings, alerts, and analysis. This may include:

• Email metadata and content (subject lines, senders, bodies)
• Calendar events, attendees, and meeting details
• Market data, commodity prices, and trading positions
• Operational data (production figures, drilling reports, safety metrics)
• Documents, filings, and attachments you grant access to

We access only the data necessary to provide the Service. We do not sell this data to third parties.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the Service: queries, responses viewed, features used, timestamps, device type, browser type, and IP address.

Messaging Platform Data

If you access Barrel through WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, or other messaging platforms, we process the messages you send to and receive from Barrel within those platforms. We do not access your other conversations on those platforms.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Generate morning briefings, alerts, meeting prep, and other AI-powered outputs
• Learn your preferences, priorities, and workflow patterns to improve relevance
• Maintain and improve the Service
• Communicate with you about your account, updates, and service changes

• Comply with legal obligations

3. AI Processing

The Service uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to process your data and generate outputs. Your data is processed by AI models to produce briefings, summaries, alerts, and recommendations. AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. We may use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our AI models. We do not use your identifiable business data to train general-purpose AI models shared with other customers.
